That's the air intake runners. The exhaust is lower down, below that ribbed aluminium cover with the oil filler cap.

My pupils after my retinopathy exam. I popped into the local co-op to get something for lunch and got a very strange look. Now I know why.

Had my yearly one of those last week. It has the consequence (for a couple of hours) of really improving my long range vision but screwing my close in vision. I can read shop signs from a quarter a mile away but I can't read the time on the watch on my wrist.

Not good doing it on a really sunny day though. Yeeesh.

Walking back from the treatment centre, i was mr squinty eyeman. guess who forgot to take a pair of sunglasses. The nurse showed me the photos and described what was going to happen, which was interesting. though not as interesting as the Nikon d80 hooked upto the eye gear.
