Ah, I'm with you. I think there's merit in your suggestion.

Thanks :D

If you go on CPCFF you'll see the sheer number of categories they have. I hope that we don't want an awful skin like that or as many pointless categories, but that's the general idea.

Peter.

Congrats for seeming like a prick already, Peter. Only took a couple of days since you joined

CPCFF is not a forum for just chat, there is a lot on there (which if you look at any pc/modding forum such as hexus, bit tech etc) has a similar number of categories, it is mainly hardware oriented.

To be honest if you don't have anything nice to say about an area you left (with some animosity) then I suggest you don't say anything about said places.

I'm not too bothered about other subforums for hardware etc but would like a games one.

Erm, I've just noticed a very serious fault in the boards.

The language filter replaces swear words with the text "rude word".

Surely they should be replaced with the text "[LIFTED]"

Done ;)

I tried clicking on the link in Fin's sig' and it opens in the same Internet Explorer window. Can we get that changed so it opens a new session please?

If we do do the whole 'open in another tab/window' thing, could it possibly be optional? I hated it over at Dennis when I wanted to open content in the present tab...If I want it in a new tab I'll open it in a new tab, but there isn't any easy way to open content in the current tab without copy and pasting the url, which can take four click as apposed to one...

About the 100 millionth person to ask for that :D (no, I don't understand the word "exaggeration") :D

I am in the habit of right clicking and choosing "open in new tab" for all links now.

Just for once, no it's not, but if the question has been asked before than I apologise and will try and get into the habit of right clicking and selecting "open in new window"

:)

What about those of us at work who are using IE6 and don't have a wheel on our mouse?

Also, I've changed the skin to subsilver2 and the usernames and avatars are on the left hand side of the screen. I don't know if it's just this skin, but it's a massive improvement in my opinion.

Happy John! :)

Control-click FTW then! One hand is already over the keyboard, so it's not too much extra effort (Mac users command-click)

Nope. Ctrl Click still opens it up in the same window. I wonder if that's because I'm using IE6.

Anyway, right clik and open in new window works fine, (as long as I remember to do it)

I searched for "IE6 control click new window" and the first result threw up that you might use shift-click? IE6 was the last IE I used and I'm sure I used ctrl-click...

It's a work PC and we cannot install any software on them.
