My grandma died this morning. I've spent the day with my mum taking her places and helping get things like the death certificate sorted out.
My sister met us in Chelmsford and is going home with her. So that's it - no more grandparents.
I learned more about her today. For the medics out there, she was part of the team that developed Sulfadiazine - Winston Churchill took it when he has pneumonia. In a small way, my grandma helped save his life.
Most grandmas feed you cake. This one fed me ideas. I'll miss her a lot.

That's sad news, Paul.
Best wishes to you and your family from Best Beloved and me.

Making good use of those ideas will honour her memory and hopefully help you remember all the good about her. I never knew your gran, but I'm sorry for your loss. I suppose you can take some comfort from it not being such a sudden death and that you could spend time with her before she died. Mark

Dude, hugely sorry, but in a way I'm glad it wasn't drawn out over months. Sympathies to you and yours.
