Top 10 2012:

Breaking Bad is at 4, hmm, well it is getting near the end of its life cycle now, but it has demonstrated better writing, characterisation and acting than The Walking Dead.

I have an entire series to catch up on now. I loved the first series; a nicely complete universe with plenty of depth.

I don't think that's been shown since the 1970s? It was my favourite show when I was little. I got the DVDs a year or so ago, and unfortunately it seems a little dated now. I've not watched them all yet.

Actually many shows of that period have dated badly.

Dunno about the 70s but there was a series in the 90s. I remember one with Rameses/Sam Rees and one with strange pods with green goo inside.

EDIT: Wiki says it was "re-imagined" for the 90s.

Has anyone mentioned fresh meat? Absolutely love it. Also peep show, the same as it ever was. There can't be any other show that has been as consistent from the firsts episode to the last.
I'd never heard of Fresh Meat until season 2 screened just recently.
I think I'll be watching season 1 back-to-back over the course of next week at some point.

Mark

Nor had I. By all accounts, series one wasn't as good. I just saw a trailer for series 2 and thought that's for me.

Absolutely.

I don't know what was up with Reg D Hunter. He must have got out if the wrong side of bed. His act was just one big long rant.

I lost interest when Clairy came on.

Frankly, when the announced the line up at the end of HIGNFY (which was actually very good, for those looking for a few chuckles over Crimble. Daniel Radcliffe should do more comedy) I knew it was going to be a stinker, so I wasted time elsewhere until QI was on.

Reg's 'aw, shucks' American in the UK schtick really grates with me now. The Iranian comedian whose name I can't spell has always been crap, and Julian clearly wasn't writing whilst he was away.

It could only have been sh1tter if it had included Jason Byrne. He's like Jason Bourne but less funny... ;)

Or dare I say it, a whole line-up of female comedians
