No, he didn't use those words, but you get the gist. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20897675Argentina's president seems keen to kick off the Falklands debate again, yawn. Is this in an effort to get access to oil drilling rights, or just to divert attention away from another political calamity?

If Cameron's not planning a morale boosting military mission to the Falklands, he's clearly not fit to lead a minority party in power.

Doesn't need to. The standing garrison on The Falklands at the last invasion was a platoon of marines and a few reservists. And that was it. Now, there's a standing force of over 1000 full time infantry which has state of the art air cover and at least one warship on patrol nearby. And a defensible airport that means we could ship at least as much again in as reinforcements within 24 hours. That's why their PM is banging on about UN resolutions and how we're not playing ball. If they actually stood a decent chance of taking back The Falklands they wouldn't be doing any of that, they'd just say 'give them to us or we'll take them'. The best Cameron is going to get is the chance to look a bit statesman like and make the point about self-determination. The Argentinian PM seems a bit of a self-serving sort to me but I doubt even she sees hundreds of men she ordered into battle coming home in body bags and the rest coming home on a chartered british ship sans weapons and equipment as a vote-winner.
