I'm getting repeated email notifications about the same threads on x404, despite turning off email notifications. The time and date for each thread notification doesn't change either - in fact they are all from the same date. I thought maybe it was something to do with Thunderbird, but I can't see anything obvious. Any ideas?

I've tried just about everything to fix it at this end with no joy. I know Amnesia's had the same issue.

So, it isn't just me then. Misery loves company. I should add, all those and more were received in the last three days.

It has been happening for more than a few days. Normally unless you respond there should not be a follow up email. So maybe the algorithm that checks if the person has been back is faulty?

Oh, it's been going on for a while now - I just meant the list of emails I posted were from the last few days!
It's bloody annoying.

Let me see if a reboot fixes it.
Ironically I'm not getting any notifications about anything (PM's etc)

I'm still getting the notifications unfortunately (last set at half past one).

Was it a new notification, or one you've received before for an old topic ? If it's an old one, then it sounds like the message queue is kinda stuck. This used to happen on our old mail server. It would get stuck repeatedly sending the same messages, and not send any new messages until the service was restarted. Long term fix was to stop using IIS because it's really bad. I rather doubt Sas is using IIS though lol.

Can you post the full 'received' headers for two of the messages? It would be worthwhile to check if X404 is actually sending you lots of messages or if there's a single notification email stuck in a queue somewhere that's being replicated 'nearer to' your inbox.

I can't see anything sitting in the server queue so headers would be handy (you can forward the emails to me as an attachment if you like for me to look at)

Still getting old notifications of the same four threads here.
Do you want me to forward them?
