TBH I think I only recall bits of the some of the shows. The Big Bang - I only watched whislt it had Gareth and Violet. After 1993, I was in secondary school so would often arrive home around 1630-45. That meant not much time before heading up to do homework at 1700. Any TV shows then would have been watched during the holidays.

Violet Berlin - geeky hotness. And in her blonde days she always reminded me of the girl from Roxette

Cracking dissection by someone about why they don't like The Big Bang Theory: http://butmyopinionisright.tumblr.com/post/31079561065/the-problem-with-the-big-bang-theoryI still find TBBT amusing, despite all that.

A very interesting viewpoint and something I hadn't considered. Just that article makes me wanted to boycott TBBT but I shan't.
Having said that, it still gives more airtime to geeks than other primetime shows IMO. Just by doing this, it can engender acceptance. The author in that article is compared to Sheldon rather than being just called a geek.
I love the show. I wish they would do more physics stuff as I could understand some of it. I want it to show more geeky stuff.

Well it kicked off with a later episode of Mike & Angelo with the more familiar characters. Then it was Spatz. I vaguely recall this as a child but only really because I thought it was called "spaz" which was the derogatory term of choice in the playground at the time (along with "div").
Huxley Pig - didn't recall it until I heard the intro and instantly recalled it.

Borgen anyone? Staying in on a Saturday night with the tv can be a trial. Casualty? Splash last night, too much screaming and despite the opportunity to watch Omid bellyflop his way to a mainstream audience, I just couldn't hack the screams. So I sloped off to the bedroom and tuned in to Borgen whilst swmbo watched something else.

I watched the first episode of Africa last night. Astonishing photography!
There was one shot of a watering hole that could have been a frame of The Lion King. It had giraffes, antelopes, zebras, buffalo, elephants, ostriches and lions all in a single shot! Unbelievable!
Every time I watch a BBC life doc I think they're never going to be bettered and every time the next series betters it!
Awesome television.
Also, the stories they show there about the way nature behaves is incredible. The drongo bird that mimics the meerkat warning call so that it can take their food while they run away from what they think is an eagle.

Yes! Watched Borgen last night also. I was hooked on season 1 and this has not disappointed one bit! Splash was terrible. Out of the 6 people on it I only knew 2 and fracking Gabby Logan should be shot. She definitely shouldn't be on TV.

Button Moon was on which was one of my earliest memories. Very fond of it. Also Fraggle Rock was uber cool.
My Parents Are Aliens - the "mother" was better when she was portrayed by the blonde woman. Much more ditzy but pleasant to look at.

Just watched Children's Ward for the first time. The female doc has a very pert prow.
