The fundamental point here is simple : They have a much higher opinion of themselves than anyone outside Westminster has of them. If we can find a method to re-align that mismatch, everything else will fall out in the wash.

That doesn't make any sense at all unless your proposal is to house them all in an elaborately secured underground bunker.

+1 They do have a superior attitude of their abilities. Most are no better than the vast majority of the public.

In that it's easier to provide coordinated security for a single building than several hundred individual residences scattered all over London, especially if it falls within the same security envelope as the houses of parliament and Downing Street.
