What credit card should I get now that Play's going down the tubes? I think it might be too hopeful that they'd carry on the points scheme with Playtrade sellers

What's wrong with them? No, it just seems expensive considering you'll never own the music even in the iTunes sense, and especially if it's on top of your internet, phone contract/data plan, TV subscription... There's also an awful lot of artists or years of their work missing from it, and if you're adding from your own library you might as well own the music in some form. IMO.

I can see the benefits if you are a real music fan and have music playing all day, and it would take nearly 300 years to pay the same as the value of my CD collection.

Who would have guessed where Drake and Nicki Minaj got their look from? Not a good look to copy.

How unbelievably patronising someone's update on their photography facebook page is:
"As some of you may notice, I am working under my real name of {redacted} Conduit now! I had issues before with peoples ability to spell my name which is why 'Cee' existed, but as I am due to move to London in September, a lot more people will be able to understand and pronounce it.
I will also have a website coming soon which is currently being built!
{redacted} out."

Just debating changing my Facebook status to something along the lines of "Now living my life like a 18 year old rock star and allowing my penis to make all my decisions for me"

If I was to purchase everything in my Amazon wishlist right now (all music), it would set me back somewhere in excess of £800. Surprisingly enough I don't have a spare £800 to spend on music. Whilst I do acquire these albums in dribs and drabs, Spotify Premium does mean I can listen to them both at home and via my phone. In addition, I can most definitely hear the difference between Spotify's regular and high quality options.

I'd recommend buying second hand or shopping around Wait, are you buying vinyl?

The vast majority of that is at the £5/album kind of mark, but there are a couple in there that are relatively expensive by CD standards (having a 15 month old child isn't really conducive to owning a record player), but there are probably 15 or so that range from £15 up to £80 for an album. I pick up second hand etc. when I can, but it just depends on what people are selling.

I looked up an old record I used to love as a kid. It wasn't by a huge band, it didn't make it big in the charts, but it was pretty well known. I thought it might be fun to add it to my collection. The band's first album is currently on Amazon for around £800.
