It's what I'd call an "Odd Couple" TV series. It's all about the interaction between the ruthless lawyer Harvey Spector and his protégé with a conscience and eidetic memory (but no law degree) Mike Ross. Plus it's also got Gina Torres (from Firefly) and Rick Hoffman in it. I have to admit that when I read the synopsis I wasn't that interested, but several people who's opinions I respected recommended it. I then watched pretty much the whole first season in a day! It's on the USA network in the States which also shows the excellent "White Collar". Has that made it over to the UK? Is anyone here watching it?

I'm watching The Wire (I know, just a little late!). Turns out it's good. Who knew!

Bernard Cribbins criticises 'noisy' children's TV http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21082876I don't see much wrong with kids TV from what I've caught of it, but then I used to watch everything from Danger Mouse to James Bond Junior

Colin Morgan to star in new BBC One drama series Quirke
Armagh actor Colin Morgan is to guest star in a new BBC One drama series set in Dublin in the 1950s.
Quirke is based on books by Benjamin Black, the pseudonym of award-winning Irish writer John Banville.
Morgan, renowned for his role in the BBC drama series Merlin, will appear as a character called Jimmy Minor in the third episode of Quirke entitled Elegy for April.
Quirke has been filmed on location in Ireland since November and is expected to be broadcast later in the year.
Gabriel Byrne will play the title character who is the chief pathologist in the Dublin city morgue.
Each of the three episodes will see him investigate the death of one of the people on his mortuary slab.
The other books adapted for the series by screenwriters Andrew Davies and Conor McPherson are Christine Falls and The Silver Swan.

Kabel Deutschland (Cable Germany) is now offering a new DVR, it can record 3 HD channels, whilst you are watching a fourth. Looking at what is on offer, I have to wonder why you'd want to record 1 channel, let alone 3 simultaneously!

Well most channels put their good stuff on between 9 and 10pm so there will be a chance that you will have a clash one day.

Here the "good" stuff starts at 08:15. But that said, I haven't seen anything I'd want to DVR if I wasn't at home for over a decade. To be honest, I really can't be bothered with TV at the moment, I'll watch it, when my fiance does, to be sociable, but I can't really think of a single programme that I'd actually "have" to put the TV on for.

My Tv has not been on for a week and that was only because I had a visitor who wanted to watch a film.

Just finished watching the series finale of "Fringe", and I'm a bit disappointed. Up until now the fifth season has been great. Without wanting to spoil anyone who hasn't seen it yet, there's been some excellent ideas and story telling. They've not been afraid to let horrible things happen to the main characters and show the consequences of them. However in the end it all went a bit Stargate episode...

A lot of programmes are repeated at other times. I do a lot of recording after midnight so it doesn't clash with anything peak time.
