Well most channels put their good stuff on between 9 and 10pm so there will be a chance that you will have a clash one day.

A lot of programmes are repeated at other times. I do a lot of recording after midnight so it doesn't clash with anything peak time.

I do not have a PVR but can resolve most issues with the +1 services, and iPlayer and the rest of the catch up services.

Yep that too but +1 tends not to be HD so I try and find an alternative time

It is not such an issue for me. I watch most of my TV on the iPad using the TVCatchup service you recommended last year. They now have an app so that makes it easy. So the lack of HD is not really a problem. It might be when I get a Retina iPad.

What season of House M.D. was the one where he was in the mad house?
I think I'd like to pick up where I left off, and where I left off was the end of the season before the mad house one.

Anyone watching The Following with Kevin Bacon (Sky Atlantic)? Pilot episode was pretty good, shows promise - bit grusome in parts though!

Not when you're out of ideas.

Yes but it is quite good cheap TV, which makes it perfect for afternoon TV.

Let's hear your fresh original ideas for a TV show then.
And we want formats - that's where the money is.

It also matters what time slot and the budget is. Otherwise it will be an expensive mistake. If you are showing early evening you need something that the whole family can enjoy and that is why X factor and Popstars is perfect for that reason. Rehashing Through the keyhole for a evening audience might be a tough sell, even with Keith Lemon. I would think that a game show would be good, for early evenings.

It would appear that season 6 is the answer to my question.

You talkin' to me? ;)

I don't care about ideas on TV, I was specifically replying to Jon. Iplayer alone has more than I can watch, and I don't do reality drivel.

I mean anyone. I've actually been there, and tried selling a format to Mentorn. There was a lot of meetings and nothing really happened. Harder than it looks, as what the production companies are interested in are formats that they can sell - a chat show by itself isn't a saleable format.
Then add into that the fact that you're pitching blind - you don't know what they may have in development, or even if the channel you're wanting to pick it up has scheduled a slot for that sort of show in the next year.

Sorry, X Factor, Popstars etc. are never perfect, unless you are talking about trash... Those shows are unwatchable.

My fiance make me regularly sit through "The Voice of Germany" and Heidi Klumm's Germany's Next Top Model, at least the latter has a bit of eye candy...
