currently I am using VLC for all videos and Clementine for music
I am wondering for videos (since I have a lot of movies and am getting into recording a bit more) is there any software that stores it in a nice "showable" way? using windows explorer is fine but a bit boring!
same for music, I used to use winamp, which worked fine but again was a little too simple, I switched to Clementine due to its ability to sync with jail broken iphones, however I know have a nexus 4. so am wondering is there a better alternative, considering I literally play my entire library (28gb) on random, I would like something that doesn't crash as much as Clementine.
so any suggestions?

I use Windows Media Center and Music and Video apps on Windows 8.
