Well they clearly failed to address his grievances and mental health issues before now. I doubt that they will take him alive. It will leave too many questions to be answered.

Mr Wayne LaPierre (head of the NRA), if only a good guy with a gun is capable of stopping a bad guy with a gun, how are you going to stop this ex Navy, ex Police Officer "good guy" with a gun???

News CLICKY

Quote:
A man believed to be a former Los Angeles police officer accused of three murders has been involved in a shoot-out with police, reports say.

The suspect exchanged shots with officers in California's Big Bear Lake region and barricaded himself inside a cabin, local police said.

Two officers have been wounded by gunfire and airlifted to hospital.

At least those under guard can stop worrying now.

Interesting. Bloke on the radio this evening said his best option was to run for Mexico. Mexico does allow extradition to the US (contrary to myth) but not if there's any chance of the extradited person being given a death sentence, which someone who has committed the crimes he's alleged to have would certainly be looking at as a possibility. So if he made it to Mexico he'd be effectively beyond the reach of US law.

I guess it depends on state law. Some states have a death penalty, some don't.

Charred body found after US manhunt for Christopher Dorner

Quote:
Police say they have found charred remains in the rubble of a burnt-down cabin where a murder suspect had been hiding.

Ex-policeman Christopher Dorner, accused of killing three people, was thought to have barricaded himself in and exchanged fire with police.

A single gunshot was later heard inside the building, which then began to burn.

Forensic tests are to be carried out to determine if the remains are those of Mr Dorner.

More from the BBC here.
