I have done 12 hours shifts where you do 4 over 4 days but then get 4 days off. I"ve also done a varying shift pattern where the longest stint was 6 days on and 6 days off which was incredibly tiring.

I'm now supposed to do 9am - 5.30pm but like Camille I have changed it slightly to make my journey to work a bit easier so I get here about 8.30am and usually leave about 5.20pm. Sometimes I leave before 5pm if I've done everything for the day.

9 – 5 for me – and can stick to it until the end of a project when the hours tend to increase

Also do the odd night shift as needed

8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

I've had more than my fair share of 14 hour days, you can keep them. ;)

I'm contracted to 3.45 hours a day, but do sometimes up to 6 hours a day.

Currently looking for a full time job so hoping for a 9-5 job atm...

9-6 in the office, but being self employed, there's rarely a moment I'm not thinking about work.

Contractually, I think it works out to 33 hours a week. Realistically, it's 40-44 hours a week, not including any work I do at home (last week I spend eight hours over two nights doing more work). The 33 hours is basically patient contact time (surgery, home visits). The other stuff is either seeing emergency patients, sorting out prescriptions, referrals, sorting out computers (with the help of x404 forumites  ), supervising and/or educating trainees, tutorials and doing my own work eg audits.

6 out of 7 days a week with what appears to be a random day off. 8 hours mon-fri, 7.5 and 6 on sunday if I'm in the shop or pool, but on the water it can be up to 10 hours.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

When I was a young man, (back in the 80's) it wasn't uncommon, when I was temping, to do a 12 hour shift, then go straight over to another company, where I would do another 12 hour shift... Occasionally I'd be at a job and the agency would ring me an hour before my shift ended asking if I could cover for someone at the same place, not realising I was already on-site... Obviously I always agreed, mainly because I fancied one of the women who worked for the agency!

9-5? You don't know what work is!
