That Die Hard pic might be the only appropriate response to that film I fear...

Have you tried an iPad? There are loads of resellers and Apple stores where they are sold and you could try it out.

Do you mean a tablet for connecting to a 'proper' computer? IIRC Mr Zolo has one, and possibly Big D.

But Big D is a bit too far away for Bratty to get a hands on? He did not make it clear what type of tablet he wanted to know about.

I'm not sure why someone listing themselves as being in Indonesia would be spaming the forums with kitchen adverts at three in the morning, but hey ho.

We have a Wacom Bamboo Fun at work. To be honest, it is a toy. Especially if you have used a "real" tablet, like the Intuos. That said, I'd love a Cintiq.

I was looking at tablet PCs yesterday and Samsung now have a Windows 8 tablet with a built in Wacom digitiser, with multiple nibs. That sounds very nice.

The heavy metal-loving church

From the BBC:

Quote:
Many think of church as incense, organ music and dog collars. But there are new churches that look rather different, writes Sam Judah.

Before he was a minister in the Church of England, Mark Broomhead took thrash metal very seriously. His band, Seventh Angel, toured the world, sharing a record label with heavy metal acts Metallica and Slayer.

Now he is vicar of the Order of the Black Sheep, a church in Chesterfield. It's part of the Church of England, but Broomhead doesn't appear to have mellowed.

Seventh Angel were pretty good, here's an example.

More from the BBC here.

I could find that quite offensive, since it seams based on the collection of ridiculous stereotypes that is Sheldon...
...oh, I just finished reading it. Never mind. At least I don't have to buy a scarf now.

That Friday 'song' would be a better job, or that truly depressing Coldplay one about being caught in the middle of a spider's web...

Apparently the Stones are very close to signing for that.
It'd be a £1million pay day for them.

They're worth it in terms of quality, dunno about the organisers!

Anything's better than getting some hipster in and pretending it's progress. Or even worse, bored Bono again.
