Fresh lemon juice and caster sugar, or chopped bananas and chocolate sauce if I get round to making some.

Morning.

I have the snuffles. I have stretches of lucidity, then a protracted bout of sneezing, followed by a runny nose. Then it all clears up for a bit and I can concentrate on something for a while.

I plan on spending some quality time with my workbench today, probably with several sheets of 1200 grit wet and dry.

Onwa... ah... ahhh... ah-TISH-oo!

Get well soon Heather

Morning. Car insurance renewal came through last night, so the annual merry-go-round starts again.

You have reminded me that I also need to start doing that. Mine's due on the 3rd next month.

Surprisingly Aviva were the cheapest, didn't just rely on one comparison site this time, did all the comparison sites direct line, aviva and Churchill.

Is there a list of which comparison sites and insurance sites there are so that you can minimise the numbers of sites you have to call or enter details into?

Did you go specifically to see the Butterfly Exhibition, or was it just a general visit?

We'd forgotten the exhibition was on, to be honest. It's been extended for another couple of weeks. We'd also forgotten that half term was on, and the queue took about 20 minutes to negotiate.

The butterfly exhibition - about half an hour after the gardens were opened at 10am - already had a 60 minute wait.

Our ongoing (personal) mission is to document the heather beds. Each plant is getting an overall shot for size and shape, detail shots of flower and foliage, and anything interesting about the plant. Averaging about four shots per plant, we're barely halfway through the collection, and the ultimate plan is to have each plant photographed covering the four seasons.

It keeps me quiet, out in the fresh air, and someone else treats me to lunch. :)

Considering the price of meals at Wisley, you got a result there!

Tell me about it! Two filter coffees and two cakes is nearly eight quid! These RHS members aren't hard up, you know.

Today is a great Friday

Got offered the job I have had interviews for this week. Accepted it. No more commuting on the tube. I get to drive and the place has a big car park.

Very quick turn-around considering I was officially made redundant on Monday!

Many congratulations!

Hope you enjoy the new job

Thank you all.

Looking forward to it. I'm going to be the network administrator of a relocation services company.

Redundancy package is pretty good. Got a lot more than the statutory. Thankfully I won't have to touch it, aside from clearing some debt. It will go into my savings.
