All day I've been saying to myself, it can't get any worse...

Started off getting a replacement truck from a hire company as the work truck was stolen.
Headed off up the coast and the rental truck broke down.
Finally made it to the launch/dive site and didn't manage to do any diving as my students were either too exhausted, seasick, or both. A lack of English comprehension didn't help matters.
Headed for home and the steering on the boat broke.
The conditions were poor and without steering the boat swamped, luckily it's a RIB. However we did have to prevent a little flotsam and had no need for jetsam.
Droppped the anchor so we didn't get pushed onto rocks, but the line was short as it was all tangled.
Managed to stop a student from launching a flare before I had exhausted all other options.
Went to use the radio to see if any other boats in the area could offer assistance. It didn't work.

Luckily just as I had given up on the radio a boat came to help, and towed us back to the boat ramp. Only a couple of kms away, but it felt much further.

Currently relaxing with a cold beer.

So how was your day?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Sounds like you deserve that beer.

My day has just started. Train gods were good to me today and I arrived to get my last train 5 minutes earlier than usual so got to work 20 minutes before I was expecting to. I like this hour before most people get in.

Off to the post office tonight to get my Sky wireless connector. Sky on demand here I come :)

Hope you have an enjoyable evening

Thanks. :D

I forgot to mention that I also flooded my phone. I had managed to get it to the point where most of the keys worked, and could possibly be repaired further. But now it won't charge.

Must go and rename the thread now...

Water damage isn't covered by the standard guarantee either. My bf spilt wine on his without realising and his wouldn't charge. He had to pay £125 for a new one.

My phone has been through hell and still kept on going. AUD$40 over 4 years isn't too bad.
