That there are people who pay almost no attention to the news whatsoever - 'Oscar who? What did he do?' :o

Jennifer Lopez has a writing credit on 'One' by U2. This ties my head in knots.

That my nephew will sit and read every word of a Turtles comic just cos it's on a tablet. Bonus effect of pissing off my worthless old man!

That crappy Spotify knows when you're turning the sound down to avoid the ads; it pauses until the volume goes up again. The ads wouldn't be a problem if you weren't listening to the same trailers every bloody time

Yeah I found that out which is why I stopped using it. An increasing number of websites are pausing stuff until you flick back to their window which is a PITA.

Do you have a source for that?

Actually, no. I was looking for a decent quality copy of the video online and came across something that said that. Now I can't find it again. To Be honest it sounds horrifically unlikely, which is why I described it as I did. There's no such writing credit on the wikipedia page for 'Achtung Baby'.

It must have been a reasonably reputable source but I can't find it again. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out it was wrong.

Nearest thing I can find is that she did tracks called 'One Love' and 'The One'. Wonder if that has lead to some confusion.

Ralph Macchio is now the same age as Pat Morita was when the movie The Karate Kid was released.

TED have deleted a couple of talks that don't fit with their idealogical point of view.

The Graham Hancock talk about psychedelics for one, and also many more that just aren't very good.
This was very interesting - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hwLMBdnbXk (defo NSFW, it's a bit sweary) - one mans experience of TED.
