Wow, that really is a feat! Be sure to congratulate him for us!

Morning all,

Been feeling rough as hell all week, and ended up leaving work early yesterday. Phoned in sick today, and am currently trying to get an appointment with the doctor.

That's all for now.

Moaning

It's raining, and Foggy. Once again a cloud of fun-sucking misery has enveloped my little hillside.

Maximum respect to HK's BB, for the Herculean USB achievement.

Evening all.

So, that's the heat wave (?!?) over for this spring. It's now raining and miserable.
It was a hell of a day at work and I've got to pick my brother up from the station at some point as well. Hopefully the rush hour traffic will have subsided by the time I have to venture into town.

Enjoy what's left of the day folks.

Morning.

Best Beloved liked the comments regarding his USB destruction capabilities. With hindsight it's more likely he managed to twist the plug slightly as he was trying to insert it, causing a short in the hub. I still reckon he managed to force it in upside down, because the hub in question is a PCs'R'Us own-brand thing made from tissue paper.

I went out with a friend to Hythe and district yesterday. The idea was to recce a location for a photowalk next month. We both took camera gear, but it rained almost continuously the whole time, and the cameras stayed resolutely tucked into their respective bags. Still, we managed to find a nice quiet pub serving some excellent food.

Today I shall mostly be making a mess with an airbrush.

Onwards and sideways.

Morning all.

Yay Friday.

Guy from BMW coming today to pick up the car for MOT & a bit of maintenance. Wonder what I'll get while it's away?

Afternoon all.

Nearly an hour on the phone to Apple support (my god their hold music system seems to be catastrophically broken) to see if they could decide whether my external hard disk is borked or there is actually a problem with Disk Utility in Mountain Lion (I personally suspect the latter). See the Mac Software forum for more details.

At least the fog has lifted.

In other news I got a hair cut this morning and thought I'd find out what a number 1 cut would look like (I normally get a 2). Very short is the answer of course, but shorter than I thought it would be. At least hair generally grows back but in the mean time I think I'll be wearing a hat so I don't get a cold head.

Second in the photo competition!

Have a great day folks.

Morning all,

snowing again. We are supposed to get up to 20cm in North Germany today!

And I was basking in the sun on Thursday and went shopping in my shirt sleeves, what is wrong with the weather? :(

This is supposed to be a very rare occurrence, where a Mediterranean tropical front is clashing with an Artic/Nordic front and turning into an anti-cyclone, bringing heavy precipitation, but the temperatures are so cold, it will fall as snow, with winds up to 70mph. The last time such a phenomenon hit Germany was in 1978, which caused a lot of chaos.

Morning.

Just preparing breakfast in bed for SWMBO, then I'll do the grocery shopping; which should earn me enough brownie points to watch the rugby on mothers day. ;)

Morning.

This morning is one of those days when I am glad I don't have a proper job. 8-)

Be safe out there, folks.
