* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

I must make an effort to persevere after my initial idea comes to nought. I often have inspiration and ambition, but not the talent to back it up.
So much for the long exposure luminous Slinky stairway shot.

Matt's quite right. Remember back in the mists of time I submitted a shot of a metronome with the arm swinging? That took several hours of experimentation and about one hundred shots to get just the way I envisaged it. I learned a lot about controlling the flash in order to get the effect I was after (not that I plan on using the technique again soon ).

I would probably never have attempted the shot if I was using a film camera. Digital makes it cheap and easy to experiment and play - and learn.
