The snapping point was walking into the lounge and seeing my kids trying to re-enact it! They were almost wetting themselves with fits of the giggles at the time. Clearly, my sense of humour has partially evaporated because, while I can't help but find it funny when they've almost incapacitated themselves with laughter (at anything), I am at a loss to understand why people find the harlem shake itself amusing.

I can understand the original one being funny. The first time you see it, it's unexpected. Especially with the situation. After that, it's just funny by association.
