Sarah Palin is to release her third book, an attack on the secular-liberal "War on Christmas".

Quote:
The Alaska governor and former Republican vice-presidential candidate has announced a deal with HarperCollins for "A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas", set to be published in November.
HarperCollins say the book will be critical of the "over-commercialisation" and "homogenisation" of Christmas, focussing instead on the religious significance of the event.
Many religious conservatives in the US fear what they call "the War on Christmas", a perceived creeping secularisation of the winter holiday.
Announcing the book, Mrs Palin said: "Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored."
She added: "This will be a fun, festive, thought-provoking book, which will encourage all to see what is possible when we unite in defence of our faith and ignore the politically correct Scrooges who would rather take Christ out of Christmas."
HarperCollins has said that the book will advocate "reserving Jesus Christ in Christmas, whether in public displays, school concerts (or) pageants".
The book will contain Mrs Palin's "personal memories and traditions from her own Christmases and illustrate the reasons why the celebration of Jesus Christ's nativity is the centrepiece of her faith".
The deal was negotiated by Mrs Palin's attorney Robert Barnett, who also secured deals for her previous two books. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

I would not think that Christmas is the target of a secular-liberal agenda. It might be over-commercialised but that is a different matter.

Well, Americans, stop calling it "the holidays" then. Idiots.

I'll best she gives Santa a couple of hand guns, an itchy trigger finger and the ability to find terrorists while flying over the middle east.

Yes no irony in writing a book for the Christmas selling spree by writing it about Christmas. While it might be over commercialised that is a very different matter from it being targeted by secularists, which I doubt anyway.

Wouldn't an AC130 be a more suitable accessory?
