Wagon Wheel syndrome. KitKats used to be big enough to bridge small rivers now they're only barely bigger than your actual fingers. I noticed that Cabdurys (sorry, Kraft) just did a 'new shape' of Dairy Milk bar and in the process shaved about 20% off the amount of chocolate you actually get for your money.

I'm still pissed off that chocolate gets padded by wheat.
Reminds me of VW - they claimed the new (MK6) Golf would be cheaper to make than the MK5. They then sold it with a £10K higher price tag!

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't make them solid .

I will be making them hollow but I am wondering if I have bought enough chocolate to make the egg.

A standard 100G bar should be plenty for an average sized easter egg mould.

Thanks. Thats what I have, so I should be able to make one. Just waiting for my microwaveable melting pot to arrive to get started.

OK I'm possibly being daft here, but for something you might use only once a year is it really that much more convenient than just boiling the kettle and using a measuring jug in a pan on hot water?

Yes but I have other moulds so will try other things as well. It is not just easter eggs. I might try something for Christmas. That will mean lots of practice for me.
