Been playing this game at the weekend.
After a mindnumbing Steam update and then a 13GB install, I was ready to play. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is reminscent of Splinter Cell/Thief series. You can either play stealthily or just fight everyone. You can sneak up on enemy, pickpocket them, strangle them unconscious, or kill them. Bodies need to be moved to avoid detection.
Weapons - you have a sword, crossbow, and a gun. There are probably more weapons but that's what I've unlocked so far. You can collect ammo etc as you go along. You can also trigger/set traps for other people.
If you're not particularly well hidden, you can get spotted. The enemy gets alarmed and you have a visual clue in the form of what I describe as "frazzles" - cartoon shaped lightning bolts emanating around their head. Can be white or red depending on alarm level.
Amongst enemies, there are "swarms" of rats. Whilst they feed on dead people, they can also feed on you.
The only issue I have so far is that there is nothing to guide you in terms invisibility. Splinter Cell had a light meter and Thief 3 had a light gem. I can't see anything similar in this game.

You don't really need a stealth meter. That was my one complaint from the Thief games - they held your hand a little bit too much.
Dishonored is an excellent game, in my opinion, and I've played it through five or six times already. There is some replay value there, trying different tactics. Levelling up different skills can change how you approach the whole game.

Well I managed to get past the first/training level. I've gone on to do the proper main missions and there's some funky stuff but it does make the gameplay more varied/fun.

Okay, I think this game is awesome. Just played the first proper mission. Has taken me four days of regular play.
Disappointingly, I've missed a few prizes and that's down to not using the findy thing at the start of the first map.

So I decided to head back and get the final runes and bone charms. Decided not to risk the bone charm but got everything else and now just trying to head back to the escape route.

I'm about ready for another play through, while I wait for Bioshock infinite's release.
I've never quite managed a zero kill campaign, I've gotten close but not quite. It was fun to do it the other way too - I went on a mad rampage and wiped out everyone I found.

I need to get back into this. It's been over a month since I last played and it was only because I was out of the country that I stopped playing.

Well I finally got back into it last night and it's definitely enjoyable, although a bit more difficult because I can't remember how to do everything.

I'm on the level Return to the Tower. I've managed to use all of my sleep darts and I still need one more. I may have to restart the entire level.

If you're relying on sleep darts, you're doing it wrong.
