I only remember using it in our family years ago. I do like the Dubai version. Maybe I shall have one tomorrow? The Champagne is in the fridge. 8-)

"Second breakfast"

They're getting Europe mixed up with middle earth again.

What were those ladies called who served you food at school? And what did they serve you? What time was that? I rest my case.

They weren't ladies, they were the master who headed our table at lunchtime.

Brunch was listed as "an American meal replacing breakfast, elevenses and lunch". I didn't think it was worth mentioning.

Replacing?

You mean "supplementing" ;)

When working in China the hotel I was staying in did a "famous" brunch on a sunday. I have to sayit was one of the best I have come across with unlimited Champs, a massive ice sculpture in the middle of the room surrounded by sea food and then all the normal foods from both breakfast and lunch. I got there with a couple of work mates from 10(ish) to around 3(ish) eating and drinking - all for one price (that the Co paid for!)

1. It's never too early for cake. In the past, I've had cake for breakfast (towards the end of the week when there's nothing much left and there's no time to make anything). I've twice had cake heated up in a microwave and then added condensed milk as cream.

2. Yes my 12-1pm meal used to be called dinner. It is now lunch. My 7-8pm meal has always been dinner. When I used to go to school, my 4-5pm snack was called tea.
