Why does she wear such awful outfits?

I suspect after repeatedly being told she's the most beautiful woman on planet earth, she pretty much thinks she can get away with wearing anything she likes.

Her head looks too big, but the outfit looks really nice. Not very practical to keep clean if you're running around in the mud, but I doubt that is a problem.

Who is it?

Wow I totally didn't recognise her. boobs. I don't know why her head looks so big - maybe something else is smaller now? It was only last week I was watching Tomb Raider again on TV!

Yes I love the outfit. It hangs and flows nicely, and looks soft to the touch. It has a gentle woodland elf feel about it. Very organic and trusting.

Her head looks big because she's so damn skinny. Personally I think she looks better in tailored outfits.

Personally I think she looked better before she got 'so damn skinny'.

Well yeah. Although she last had curves when she was a teenager as far as I can tell.

She was pretty skinny as a young teenager, but she had a certain geek appeal in Hackers. Actually not so young - she was 20 when it was released, but she looks younger.

But yeah, she does look terribly skinny in that last picture and you're right - that's why her head looks disproportionately large and why I didn't recognise her. Like most men, I prefer not to feel the bones when I hug someone...

Ah, 'Hackers'. With the footage of beta 3 WipEout (dabs away tear for poor Psygnosis).

Ms Jolie has in fact been 'not skinny' for most of her life IIRC. She only got really 'model thin' relatively recently. I mean, she's never been Christina's kind of shape but around Tomb Raider (say circa 2000) I'd describe her as 'trim' rather than skinny. Almost worth watching 'Original Sin' for....

You know she wore padding for Tomb Raider?

I'm aware the wardrobe department helped her out yes :) . She was in pretty good shape at that point even without it, just not quite the 'cartoon sex bomb' Lara Croft was designed as around that time. Simon West (I think it was) apparently thought it was more important for her to be like the character she was portraying than be realistic.

Unfortunately it's virtually impossible these days to definitely date any picture in an image search since they get recycled so often, so I can't give you a comparison shot. The best I can suggest is look at any face shot from the publicity for Tomb Raider and something from say the last year. She looks ..well I don't like to use the phrase to be honest but.. less gaunt.

She lost a ton of weight when she had all the kids and her Mother died. Basically since she's been with Brad Pitt. So we'll blame him 8-)
