Screen resolution 1680x1050 atm.
Budget, I hadn't even thought abuot upgrading my GPU until today but I reckon around £150.
ATi is prob better but the NVidia means I can stick PhysX processing onto my 8800GTS as a dedicated PhysX card.

Well, it was a fairly weird thread in that I hijacked my own thread to start asking about new GPUs Ooh! This looks even better and it's cheaperor this... CLICKY but what are Asus like for GPUs?

Both will be fine. Asus cards are usually OK (they often fit better coolers)

Cool, I'm going to go for the Asus.
Any ideas about the PCI-E 2 compatability of my board? My board is PCI-E 1 IIRC (Asus P5N32E-SLi plus)

Nevermind, I've seen that the PCI-E 2 card won't be an issue for my mobo.
What do I lose though?

PCI-E2 gives more bandwidth (not needed so far) and can supply more wattage through the slot
