I've just seen a Facebook post by a friend who has tickets for Derren Brown. "Thats *****'s birthday sorted." Her 11 yo daughter. Presumably accompanied, so maybe I shouldn't be such a prude.

I never thought Derren Brown was a magician? Am I missing something?

I ve just looked at the site. No under 12's so maybe she's 12 this bday.

I would have said more of an illusionist, but he likes to class it as entertainment. Or maybe you're sayin that a magician would be more the ticket.

At work, for the last year or so, the bosses have had a disagreement with our building's landlords, plus things haven't been going so well on the business side of things with clients owing us 10s of thousands of pounds.

Today, the boss buys a hard drive and tells me that he wants an additional offsite copy of all files on the server "just in case" - now fretting that they know something they're not letting on? Probably sending the bailiffs in and changing the locks!!

Guess I'll find out soon.

Disaster Recovery plan? Maybe more planning required :)

Could be, although there's something definitely brewing - you can feel it in the atmosphere, lots of whispering between the bosses in their offices! Maybe I'm just paranoid, but seems a bit fishy if you ask me.

Gonna take any personal possessions out of my desk drawer, just in case! ;)

Looking back, just how full of WIN 80/90s music was.

Doing a Tesco order.

Sorting out my finances what with it being that time - I wonder will I give a fcuk once I've got my own place? Life's too short to deal with banks

I have 3 large slabs of bacon but no potatoes.

I have rice, couscous, pasta, noodles, eggs, flour and most other normal kitchen-cupboard stuff.

What's the best meal I can make for my guest tomorrow using the bacon?

Egg and bacon pie is about all I can come up with at the moment, but I've always considered that best eaten with salad. It's not really the weather for salad...

Thank you, nice one! I typed "pasta" clearly enough but didn't consider anything Italian.

That's basically Carbonara... for which I have the ingredients. Lots of eggs. Very healthy :D

It's not traditional, but I could enhance (ruin) it by throwing in some broccoli and peppers which would make it a little more nutritionally balanced without resorting to wet lettuce. Any left-overs would also reheat nicely in the oven, giving that delicious pasta-pie crunch on top. So many meals taste better the next day when everyone has gone home!

I've always found pasta dishes to be tastier the following day. One of my friends thinks it's down to the pasta staying in sauce for longer.

I've had a small epiphany.
Back when in uni, I got into video so I didn't have to spend my time in front of a computer, but rather working with people.
These days, it just feels like I'm handcuffed to Lightroom.

I might develop this into a response to veato's piece about analogue photography.

Wait... How...? Oh... :)

(I have no idea, actually. Sounds very intriguing.)
