Granny. Just been admitted after getting the result of her neck biopsy. Was inconclusive. On the way out felt dizzy. BP was 230 systolic. Admitted. Possible stroke or heart attack (they're not sure yet). Just been to see her and she's as happy as Larry and looks well. Dozy GP told her that her breathlessness/chest tightness a few days ago was down to her age.

I often think that GPs are wrongly dismissed/despised but this just wants to make me throttle the GP. I've told my granny to register elsewhere multiple times.

I think it is down to people wanting answers. Some things need further tests.

Food. Woke up at 5am and been awake since. Poor sleep or waking early leaves me ravenously hungry than I would otherwise be. Despite having brekkie, I'm tempted to nip down to the shops and buy lunch.

How much it'll cost to insure and ship a completed model railway coach to New South Wales.

Hmm, so the whispering continues at work. This is getting rather tedious now - wish they'd just tell us what's going on!

Good luck. I hope the worst does not happen. The only thing I can suggest is prepare as if it is going to happen, so at least you can come out ahead if it does all go belly up. Any news on the landlord situation?

No, nothing. Although I think all the whispering and the sudden need to backup everything multiple times is connected. We shall see. If it happens, it happens. The staff are always the last to know.

If thinks look shaky then update the CV and possibly put feelers out for alternative employment. It all depends on how essential you are. If the company could be sold as a going concern and you are highly likely to be kept on then you could benefit from staying put. Only you know that so think your options but don't be rash, you will probably regret it.

A guy in work is selling a 3DS, but even if he was selling it for a tenner I'd struggle to find five games I'd wanna play on it

I really want an SLR and the 60D looks good enough - main attraction is adjustable/hinged viewscreen. But I know my money would be wasted because I'd use it like 2-3 times a year!
