I never understood why you need a hinged screen on an SLR, kind of defeats the object...

Not really - if you're trying to put the camera somewhere your eye isn't it's a big help. I use the live view on the back of mine from time to time, especially if I'm taking photos and I don't want to draw attention to myself.

My current camera is the G12. It comes with a hinged screen. It's entirely useful for when you want to take shots above your height (esp useful as I'm fairly short), or very low down. The 60D is the only decent canon slr with a hinged screen.

IIRC Sony DSLRs have hinged screens.

I would have knocked out Suarez if he'd done that to me, worth the ban.

The thing that upset most people was that, immediately after the incident, he was heard to say "nom nom nom"

We were just discussing that in the office. Someone should leather him and take the ban, for the good of the game.

Slow Internet. Dropbox is saying that it will take between 12 hours and 6 days to upload some photos. Usual trick of restarting computer and router achieves only a few seconds of any speed. I tried a speed test and it has less than 4mb download but up load is barely 100kbps.

Why our IT system randomly, and dynamically, decides that some threads on x404 are off limits/inappropriate; sometimes while I'm already in them!?

I was reading the Doctor Who thread and typed a reply but, as soon as it had posted, the curtain came down and blocked access.

Nah, they'll just ask me to justify the need to visit the site and end up blocking it altogether.
