Well what about the intervening century? It has been more than 100 years since the Liberals were in government, and they are likely to get the boot next election as well. So really that only applies to the next couple of years.

If I may be permitted a little pedantry. It was a Liberal PM who took Britain into World War 1, a centenary which is not upon us quite yet. The 100th anniversary of the collapse of the last Conservative/Liberal coalition is going to be in 2022, by which time I am sure we will be arguing about who will collect black box data from our jet packs and flying cars.
