Why is Peperami Hot so deliciously moorish when normal Peperami is so bland and crap?

Why do women get excited about shoes? And I ask that as the owner of many a geeky t-shirt, with other full-on geeky tendencies... but seriously, I've never walked around grinning at a purchase

And my god, 'this top was £99 down to £33!'...

I love to know that I got a bargain no matter what. Though I will be pleased simply for achieving it.

Big pig day here at the office today. Something is launching tonight. Starts with T and ends with a C :)

We have presents on our desks and guest speakers are coming in. One of them being Brix Smith from the Gok Wan show.

Are they? I hadn't noticed. I haven't posted any pictures but I'm told my 5.5 stone lost from Feb to Oct last year really shows.
I reckon I have about the same again to lose before my Mother will leave me alone, but I shall just carry on doing what I was doing!

Well slowly losing weight though still not noticeable. Though I have only recently started so that does explain a lot.

The problem for me was that I discovered new ways to prepare food, and so find that food tastes nicer now than the ready meals that I was living on. So I had to find a way around that. Calorie counting was too difficult for me, since I can never remember what I have eaten. I keep track of what I have eaten by looking at dirty plates to tell me what I have eaten. I would joke that I was bulimic but forget what I was supposed to do afterwards. The fact that I am losing weight without massive amounts of exercising is good for me.

I use the MyFitnessPal app on my iphone to track my calorie intake. Think there's a website too. I've lost 10kg since starting the intermittent fasting diet, which is what I was aiming to achieve. I'm debating as to whether it will be effective in shedding more fat so I can get very low bodyfat and have my six pack back again.

I have the withings scale and the iPhone apps for it. It does make tracking my weight so much easier. I could not remember my weight from earlier in the day without it. I have lost 5 kg so far. I am doing the intermittent fasting as well, but I gave up on the calorie counting during the fast day as I never got it right, so just have water that day. It then comes off. As long as I can keep busy or sleep it is easy.

My issue is that I eat when I'm bored. Work has been slow in the last year and then I don't do much when I get home so put on 2 stones in a year :S (some of that may be due to medication I'm taking to be fair :S)

Your medication might be a huge factor, but eating out of boredom does not help.

I eat when I'm bored as well. I got into a routine last year where I would get on with my chores as soon as I got home, feeding cats, working outside with poultry, filling bird feeders, working in the garden etc and that way I don't sit down until after Red gets home just after 7pm, by that time it's pretty much dinner time and I can talk myself out of snacking. The only other trick I used to good effect is drinking a large glass of water and then pinching the webbing of skin between forefinger and thumb for about 30 seconds. It may be placebo but it worked for me.

I probably could survive in the evening but I get free fruit, coffee, beer and crisps at work so that's more difficult :(

I can vouch for eating more when at home. I have half-days off twice a week and on those occasions, I'm more likely to snack and hunt around if I'm even slightly peckish rather than wait until meal time.

So don't keep snacks in the house. I rarely buy crisps, biscuits or chocolate for home. I'm more likely to buy a bag or a bar when at work as a treat.
