Each episode of Lost was about $4 million, apparently. Boardwalk Empire's first episode was $20 million.
They're effectively making an hour long movie every episode with GOT, remember. $6 million's pretty efficient considering the costume and CGI that goes on.

You will also have some significant savings when you buy items rather than rent them, particularly over time, such as costumes and equipment.

Possibly. Traditionally items are rented, like costume, grip, props, lights and cameras, because at the end of the job the company created to handle the production is wrapped up, and then you're into the territory of disposal of assets at the end of the job, and that's apparently a big headache and hassle.

Yes you also need a long contract to justify such a deal. If you rent everything then ending of a contract early is not a problem.

Well the police would probably take an interest in that version.

That there doesn't seem to be even a hatchet job of a biography for Edward Woodward :(

That one of my friends is comfortable with posting the results of his child's potty training fail on Facebook.
Cheers then.

It is bad enough that he took photos presumably but then made it all available to the rest of the world. That potty training post could be what denies the child a job when he or she gets older.

Feargal Sharkey had two solo hits (made the UK top 10) - 'A Good Heart' and 'You Little Thief'.

'A Good heart' was written by Maria Mckee, after the breakup of her relationship with Benmont Trench.
'You Little Thief' was written by Benmont Trench, after the breakup of his relationship with Maria Mckee.

Efficient!
