It's a list mainly generated the various actress/model/singer's PRs and how many bottles of designer vodka they've thrown the FHM office's way. It's long been generally accepted that the top ten at least are an editorial decision, regardless of who gets voted for. You'd have to be,well, a teenage boy to believe the votes cast are what actually matters. These days I use it mainly as a way to measuring my connection to popular culture i.e. how many of the women in the list have I actually heard of?

I immediately recognised about 25, and up to about 30 when I checked the link. More than I expected frankly.

Nobody there I'd actually rate as "top sexiest in the world", but if I could go out and have a few drinks with anyone on the list then I like Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby. They're very cute, fun, witty and probably great at parties. Apparently they're friends too, which is nice.

As for sexy, no one there beats Kate Beckinsale dressed in leather. She was on telly last night, so fresh in my mind.

I did not do too bad, recognising 82, but then celebrity women are one of my memory training programs. Still not great at linking names to faces and other trivia, but practice makes perfect.

Yes on both accounts. You would be amazed at how hard it can be to remember names. I might recognise a face, but not be sure of who it might be. Then I might remember some fact like a film or Tv show or something else but still not the name. Then if they change something like the hair that can make it harder to recognise people. I have walked past family because I did not recognise them out of context, in a supermarket or on the street when I was not expecting to see them.
