Voting will now commence for this month and will remain open for one week closing on 7th May, 2013 at midnight.

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week until midnight on the 7th May.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants. Remember - it's free to vote.

The Entries:

Whisky Galore

Das Boot

The Open Road

Rear Window

A Streetcar Named...

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Some brilliant entries this month - it was difficult to choose between them.

1. The Core
2. A Bugs Life
3. Whisky Galore

Honourable mentions to Das Boot and Streetcar

Good to see a return to plenty of entries this month. Long may it continue.

Anywho:

1 - A Bugs Life
2 - North by Northwest
3 - Whiskey Galore

Tricky choice mind.

1. A Bug's LIfe
2. Das Boot
3. Whisky Galore

I can see 'A Bug's Life' as an an internet meme image, maybe with 'Oh, Hai!' written on it. I'd have put whisky galore higher but - and this is only my opinion - monochrome for that image is madness. All the wonderful gold colours and hues of the whiskey taken away...

1. Bad Boys
2. A Bug's Life
3. The Core

Loved the facial expressions in the first two; nicely captured.

I found North By Northwest off putting (is that a golfing term?) by virtue of being nearer west by south-west with an apparent planetary wobble shifting the magnetic pole drastically away from where it was when I last looked. Nice crisp picture though, and the lined paper was a nice thought.

1. A bug's life
2. A Streetcar named Desire
3. Whisky Galore

Much better choice this month!

A great theme and I had a great idea for it, but due to work circumstances at the end of this month my head wasn't in the right place to get it sorted. This month i should have plenty of spare time so no excuses! ;)

as whisky galore was an old black n white film, I thought to pay homage to it putting it in b&w was the better choice
