I was looking at them, I called them at 4 in the morning to discuss paying in and withdrawals. They do not have a branch that I can use convenient to me, but they do have post office access, which is perfect for me. I am not looking to switch right away, it was more of a inquiry to see if they could do what suits me in future. I think that it looks very viable for me to switch to them.

Are you likely to need to use a branch often? I go in to a bank once in a blue moon. I've been with them for years and highly recommend them. Also if you do any transfers to another bank from them they go immediately. This was very handy when my bf was short on his train fare the other week and I used the app on my phone to transfer some money. He had access to it straight away.

I do need to get cash but the solution of using a post office suits me perfectly. I discussed getting cash and paying in at the post office. It is much more convenient than using HSBC branches for me.

Woke up at 11pm and so still up. Keeping busy and wondering when to sleep.

No cash points near you? You can get cash at any cash point with them free of charge.

Yes but I do not have any PIN's. All my cards are chip and signature, because of the amnesia. Any PIN that I could remember is so limited that anyone who knows me could easily guess it within three attempts. So ATM's are not a viable solution for me. The post office arrangement will actually suit me much better any way, as that is only 100 yards away whereas the nearest HSBC branch is more than 4 miles away.

It is not something that I will rush into. I will take my time and think things through carefully before I switch.

I'm trying to align my body clock to start night shift on Saturday.
Late night tonight, late getting up tomorrow.

Get brain damage, it makes it so much easier. ;) My sleeping patterns are almost non existent. Though the other drawbacks are probably not desirable either if you have to work. Good luck with the transition.

Can't sleep due to worrying about a bit of a crisis at work. Doesn't help that I've worked through 2 nights in the last few days.

So do I go back to bed and listed to the cat snore, or spend a couple of hours fixing stuff..? I'm too tired to concentrate properly, but too wired to sleep...

Keep going till you are tired and so get to sleep quicker. It will also take your mind off things. When the same has happened to me I have found myself still awake at 4 am unable to sleep. So now I simply go with the flow.

Been registering my interest in access for the traveline public transport data after registering for my free windows phone dev account to work on some mobile development as the current apps are pretty rubbish for metro information/access.

Found out through an acquaintance that they offer the info under the freedom of information act, but then got a tweet from them saying they had now opened it up including new timetable info (in advance of the official website) and I could apply to get access to it :D
