God Mode - third-person multiplayer arena shooter, even worse than you're imagining. Nobody will be playing it in a week never mind a year Sacred Citadel - A cel-shaded Golden Axe, and that's me making it sound better than it is... The sort of thing where they spend too much time on the voice work and piss all on even getting basic combat to work!

Download the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon demo - you'll sit there grinning and laughing like it's going out of fashion

I plan to -but I've just unlocked the southern island of the main game - going to go at it a bit more rambo now that I'm pretty much maxed out on inventory and skills.

Double Dragon Neon - bought it in the recent sale. It's good, but a pain in finding the right 'skill' to use on the bosses. And somehow me buying loads of lives doesn't seem to have registered Call of Juarez; Gunslinger - Borderlands-style graphics done cheaply, everything looks look it's got static interference Half-decent Billy the Kid etc shooter, but it probably needs patched again it slows down so badly sometimes... I'd pay £3 for it but nothing more

I recently discovered how to do rebellion raids in Empire At War, so have been playing that for a while.

Tomb Raider - may actually be technically better than Uncharted. Incredibly well designed and executed. Have to say though, I'm three quarters through after playing it for god knows how many hours and it's starting to drag a bit. I could really do without the whole XP bit - it's just a distraction in a game like this, and you start to feel like you're in a training section. Bonus points for Glaswegian Grim though

Metro: Last Light
It's a little restrictive, linear and almost impossible to complete at the hardest difficulty, but it's very enjoyable. I've been through it a couple of times and there's a lot more to discover if you take your time. Oh, and it looks fantastic!
Not quite the system killer I was expecting either - a mildly overclocked 2500k & stock GTX 670 deliver very smooth performance at 2560 x 1600 with all the settings turned up to 9. I tried it at max detail settings but couldn't tell the difference in quality (other than the performance hit).

'Raider definitely picks up towards the end and I was left hoping they'll make another, though I got the impression sales weren't great

Actually, sales were great. However Square Enix's sales projections were absolutely hatstand. It sold roughly 4 million copies in the first month and SE's head honcho described that as 'disappointing'.
