Never had one run out of battery.

The cost to print just one of those suckers is damn near the cost of a Kindle... and then you have to keep the damned things somewhere.

I could probably fit more documents on a single disk than have ever been printed.

The arrival of colour e-ink could also bring in the arrival of e-magazines. It could make subscriptions of full size magazines viable depending on the size of the screen.

I've read magazines on my 7" tablet, and it's just fine. I wouldn't want something the size of an paper magazine; they're cumbersome.

I have read newspapers on my iPad and as long as you can zoom then the 10" of the iPad would make a good size for a colour e-ink reader.

I have held back as well. Not quite the same reasons, screen resolution and lack of colour were side issues, but getting locked into a dead format is my main concern.

same for me - and them being able at a whim to delete any book they feel like off your device

That's interesting, I didn't read anything in the terms that said that. I got a kindle from my sister for Xmas and have got quite a lot of bought books in my cloud that I can download to my kindle at anytime. I wonder what their justification is for taking back something that you've paid for?

There was the case of who had the rights to 1984, when Amazon deleted peoples copy of that book when they were challenged over who had the copyright.

This is also what hey can do and unless you get get enough bad publicity to make then sit up and take notice then tough

I have about 1500 + books at home - if we assume £7 / book (as bought over the years) then if they were all on a kindle they would have "stolen" £10500 from me
