I recently ordered a Sony laptop PSU from a UK website.
They sent a genetic unbranded one.
Am I right in thinking I can reject this within seven days under distance selling regulations? Are there other regulations that I should use to return it?
Should I report them to trading standards?

I think distance selling limit is 14 days, but sooner rather later is best. It was not as described, you ordered Sony and got a generic, though check no small print. Unless they replace it with a genuine Sony it could also be described as fraudulent or passing off both of which are criminal acts.
