It is never worth it, even if they deserve it, you would be the one in trouble. Unless they are truly evil they might simply be misguided idiots. So limit the damage that they can do you and allow someone else to rid them instead. :)

Outsourcing would still mean your involvement. I would suggest leave it till they have annoyed someone else with a shorter thread. Think of it as a real life Darwin experiment. :)

Why the wailing christ is is Tweetbot the only Mac OS twitter client that will actually allow you to mute stuff based on hashtags? [LIFTED] Off with your #Eurovision! Twitterbot on iOS can do it, why the [LIFTED] can't Twitterbot for Mac OS.

A perfectly lovely evening ruined. I'm babysitting while my wife's out. Enjoying some wine and some telly. Hear the door open, "ooh she's back early, that's nice, we can have a chat". She's left her phone somewhere and it seems to be my fault, she's chucked the laptop on the floor completely wrecking it because it wouldn't load quickly enough for her (windows xp for you) and now she's woken our daughter up who's now screaming. Seriously, is she allergic to alcohol or something?

When people drink alcohol it causes testosterone levels to rise, so women suddenly feel as aggressive as men do all the time, but they're of course not as familiar with it, which is why women can get scarily aggressive when drunk.

She might have other concerns and so is overly reactive to issues. Is there trouble at work? People deal with stress very differently.

Sounds feasible. She's also just mental, she is female after all!

She has been stressed workwise as she's been temping for 18 months and had to have an interview for her job on Friday which she got. Public sector - get in - we're on the gravy train now!

Either way, it's not a massive big deal, it's to be expected, was just having a bit of a rant!

As long as things are good between you that is all that matters. Everyone needs to let off steam sometime.

It's been about a month or so since I had the rear bumper repainted and polished by a detailer and a paintshop.

Tonight on the way home from work, my mother asked me to run an errand. I didn't want to do it but did any way. Wished I hadn't. Some fecker hit the back of the car. Low speed ~5mph max. There's scratches in the rear bumper. No dents or other marks. I don't think they're gonna polish out.

I am so pi$$ed off. The guy apologised for driving too close but it doesn't make me feel any better.

Debating what to do about it.

One of my mates seems to be living on his own planet, he now plans to start a "book sharing collective" so he can revolutionise the ethos of Canary Wharf by learning from uber-left-wing and philosophical, anti business, anti corporate, anti political text books.

And guess who gets daily updates on Facebook about it all, I wouldn't mind but when I actually took him up on a discussion, my idea was obviously so "not the same as his" that he unfriended me. I apologised and asked to be refriended as it's not worth losing a mate over, but jesus.

The new Man of Steel trailer takes all of the subtlety, pacing and beauty of the first few trailers and takes a giant Transformersesque Baysplosionfull [LIFTED] on them, oh dear I thought that film was going to be good... turns out it's only 'produced' by Christopher Nolan (by that I mean, he can make a decent film that won't suck).

But still, at least the first few trailers gave us this music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwP1rJsQIHA

I have a feeling those trailers are going to be much better than the actual film, I want to know who directed THOSE.

Adding a local database instance to a WP8 app is far harder than it should be if adding a panoramic slider was that easy...

Some developers really need to learn to keep their documentation up to date, spend 16 hours fixing a payment gateway to work on a test platform only to find out (in frustration of trying to get it to work and changing different values) that the url had changed form test.foo.net to foo.net and both live and test point at the same endpoint now (probably not updated or tested by the previous dev company since 2008/2009)

If it's any consolation, something similar happened to a guy in work today. Some silly cow assumed he'd pulled away at the lights since she hadn't been paying attention in the first place...

There's been something 'off' about that film from the start, but I'm avoiding most of the hype to at least try and make it 'average' when I see it
