I can't imagine they'd be pleased.

Personally, I don't really care who specifically buys them but I'm always somewhat.. well it doesn't seem right that a company uses crowdsourcing to build itself up then sells (it's usually to Google simply 'cos they have all the money) for umpti-million dollars. It always feels like they've cheated the people who actually did all the work.

This is partly why I tend not to 'help' crowd sourcing projects so much these days. A lot of them seem less of a project and more a scam to develop a big dataset for free then sell it for a king's ransom.

But will these people stay with Waze? There could always be a new upstart that will steal many of these users. I still support the idea of crowd sourcing because you can still walk away if you do not like it.
