I use Shazam. It does not work on live tracks and it needs a few seconds to identify the track.

Photos from filming this morning (Sophie Raworth tweeted seeing them on the way into work at 5.30AM) Looks like they're doing some sort of 'best of british' thing. Show starts again a week today! to whit

The show is getting boring now.
It needs a new presenter (preferably female), possibly to get rid of one of the current presenters and a new format.

So in summary, it needs to be a different show?

It’s been cranking on like it has for 10 years now, and frankly, yes, it’s just become a repetitive retelling of the same story. Much like Last of the Summer Wine - where invariably one of the hapless chumps ended up going downhill in a bath at speeds that would make the subsequent discovery of a dry stone wall or a water filled ditch the hight of peril, so we find issues with Top Gear now. Somehow, this band of troubadours needs to split up and go their own separate ways, with a massive reboot for the programme.

No, when Top Gear started it was very different from how it is now. It got to a point where it became dated and tired, so they updated it. Introduced James May and Richard Hammond got rid of Tiff Needell, etc... Took the show inside the warehouse/hangar that it's in now. and it has remained that way for the last 10+ years. The whole show needs the same treatment again.

Really, once they had made this bit of film, they could do no better. http://youtu.be/5Q0Svvdrx_EThat’s where they should have ended this version of TG and gone one to a new format.

Yes, that video was set up as being an end of an era... and it should have been.

The song that's playing as it finishes is actually 'An Ending' by Brian Eno. I remain somewhat convinced they did actually intend to walk away at that point but somebody waved an enormous wad of money at them to carry on, and continues to do so. Regardless of it being 'Not as good as it used to be' (TM Private Eye), it's still immensely popular and makes a lot of people very rich. Including, of course, Clarkson and Hammond and May, who wouldn't get half the other gigs they do if not for TG. And the bare fact is this : TG may not actually be anything like as good as it (occasionally) was in the past - personally I also remain convinced it's very easy to have 'rose tinted spectacles about these things and just because one five minute sequence was good doesn't mean the whole series was - but it's still a darned sight better than some of the other tosh that gets put on on a Sunday night when it's not.
