Lovin' the reaction </irony>

Well, that sounded a lot more polite than what I really wanted to say.

BBC are sticking by unconfirmed for now...

I think to the current generation, old enough to understand, he will be thought of as a weird man who did bad things.
To the rest of us, I think he will be remembered for his performances...

I didn't know he was 50 btw...

Sky News have just confirmed that he has died, whilst CNN have just confirmed he is in a coma. How can two "Confirmed" stories differ so much?

Peter.

Sky news listen to a tabloid website

Michael Jackson is 5/1 at Partybets not to perform any concerts between July 09 - Feb 2010, sounds like a pretty sure bet to me :D

I don't want to turn this into another fight, but you are free to remember him like that. I'm sure many people will share the same thoughts as you.

Then don't put the kibosh my opinions, you stated yours, I stated mine.

Since when did I try to stop you having your opinion? Au contraire, mon frère.

"You are free to remember him like that"

Please just don't turn this into another fight. I really want to keep this a serious thread please to remember the great performer.

Peter.

Yes but you, in the mot extreme sense of the term, were kicking him whilst he is down.

You may remember him that way but he was only ever found to be not guilty of any charges thrown at him. Mostly by parents who wanted to scam him out of his money.

I will remember him as an amazing performer and singer/song writer and as someone who was exploited by people around him who he thought he could trust.

Yes, he did some stupid things, but I don't for one second believe that he did any of the things he was tried for.

My housemates are a sentimental bunch, since they heard the news they have been saying how much Michael Jackson has touched them
Personally, I think they were a little too old for him
