Dunno, but tablet prices are going through the floor, and I'd probably buy just about anyone else's, personally.

For me the best reason to get a Kindle fire is to use with their film and music services. For that it could be good, but as a general tablet I doubt that any can match the iPad for overall usability. Though the price difference shows it.

I have a Nexus 10 and got it because I found that for want I want a tablet to do it does it much better than an ipad

If it does what you want then it succeeds in usability for you. It all depends what you want.
