I haven't read any GTA:V news since my last post.

Now I was really stoked about three protagonists and the missions/viewpoints thing. Then I noticed their stats like "respiratory". Then I saw their investments crap. And now I'm like "Oh FFS".

GTA: VC was fun, bright and full of 80s music and references
GTA: SA was good but they ruined it with the stamina crap
GTA: 4 tried to be realistic and I ended up hating it. I hated having to look after girlfriends or stuff like that.
GTA: 5 - missions look good but I hate the "realism" aspect of some of the stuff.

:o I thought it was next gen stuff. In that case, I think I will definitely put off buying a PS4 until the second run.

I liked the look of the gameplay vid. Could be back to form as it reminds me of San Andreas, my favourite yet.

GTA 5 'much faster' than its predecessors

I'll be very surprised if they can have lots happening onscreen with the graphics they've already shown us.

Players will also have a pet of their own, a dog named Chop who's customisable with interchangeable collars and other accessories. It will apparently be possible to lose Chop if players are negligent.

Oh FFS with this realism crap. Unless it's critical to a mission, the moment I get that dog, I will shoot it and kill it.

 :D

There's just no need for it is there? It's like introducing elements of The Sims to an action game.

This is what I hated about GTA4 - having to answer texts, speak to my girlfriends, check emails. I already do that crap in real life.

Online vid and details

Seems that's running on a PS3. Could be good, but I'm long past spending hours just mucking about in games.

Yes, GTA5 : The tedium reaches new heights.

I actually liked GTA and GTA2, and I didn't mind Vice City, but everything since has been dire. I even held off and bought GTA 4 at a bargain bucket price, but still feel like I was robbed.*

*score one for realism, eh?

I loved GTA. It was pure mayhem fun. The next one I played was GTA:VC and loved it - 80s music, stylish cars, fun missions. GTA:SA started to bore me out with having to do weights, running, etc to be more "realistic" but the missions were fun and I loved the rap music. I bought GTA 4 and basically just got bored. That's why I wanted to see what GTAV offered.

Erm, the game would need to be included for that price.

Not necessarily when you consider what designer headphones sell for.
