The prices for Sony controllers are ridiculous - presumably something to do with the rumble feature court case. I personally don't give a crap if the pad rumbles or not!

Actually I love the rumble feature. Didn't realise how much I missed it. Was playing CoD a while back and couldn't find the dualshock 3 controller so used the sixaxis one. The lack of "rumble" recoil was immediately noticeable - to the point where I stopped playing and went to look for it. The gun recoils, you can hear and see the muzzle flash - it's natural to feel the "recoil".

I don't even notice it, to the extent I'm not sure if I've changed some setting

There's always the story of the add-on for the game Rez that reputedly was.. much more enjoyed by the partners of people playing the game than gamers themselves.
