Even if we had accurate figures, most of the ministers we get don't have the intellect to interpret them properly anyway.

Really? I was given to believe that they had umpteen different ways to reclassify people who were getting employment benefit but on a training course or doing some other work for their benefits plus an extra tenner a week.

I was thinking of the claims that the governments policies are ending fraud of disabilities benefits. It was all lies with statistics. Like "the economy is recovering". It might be 0.6% better one quarter over the last but if we had a decent recovery we would not still be below the peak level 5 years after the collapse.
