Your mum is probably closer my age. I don't like getting old; you still fancy the exact same girls but your attentions make them ill rather than horny... Do you have a garden or a compost bin? If so, bury it. Alternatively, stick it in the freezer in a plastic bag. If you fancy eating it, then you should gut it first. What kind of bird was it? Tits are lovely, but black birds can be rather bitter. The general rule is, if it walks with a wiggle then it's not worth a nibble. Or was it the other way around..?

I got rid of my compost bin after I found a rat in it. I'd followed all of the instructions, so I have no idea why a rat would have been attracted to it! In the end, I found an empty cereal box, which I wrapped in a couple of Morrisons carrier bags. I made use of the bins in the supermarket's car park, which I assume would be emptied this evening. I agree, tits are lovely On a more serious note, I don't know what kind of bird it was. It was quite small and had brown/grey feathers. Peter.

Most probably a Dunnock, commonly known as a sparrow although it's not actually the same family. http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdgui ... /index.aspThey are edible, but it's really rather pointless since there's barely a mouthful on them.

The Japanese word Shojo means virgin, but Shoujo means young girl. The Japanese characters for the two words are totally distinct, but the pronunciation is very similar and many westerners confuse them. Bish could be short for Bishojo, Bishoujo or Bishonen. I have a friend people call Bish, and it basically means "pretty boy". Unfortunately, due to lack of unicode support in this forum I'm going to have to post links in escaped form to another website rather than just tell you. Or I could post it on the MacUser forum... http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%87%A6%E5%A5%B3http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%B0%91%E5%A5%B3

Why didn't you just leave the bird on the ground? It would have been eaten that night probably.
Around here it certainly would have been anyway.

I am looking after my parent's dog at the moment and he took quite a liking to it! Peter.

Hmmm, he may well have just played with it. I'm sure he would have had a huge amount of fun tearing it apart and leaving feathers, guts and limbs all over the drive/house/garden!

I'm fed up and annoyed. But moving down sarf again tomorrow. Different south this time. Probably won't be here for a while, until I get an internet connection sorted. Oh well.
