Re screen protectors versus cleaning. I ordered some bits and pieces off Lakeland and got a free sample Microfibre cloth which works a treat for cleaning the iPad screen, no cleaning solution needed either.

A Manga Batman comic (1 of 4) which I'd hoped was the full GN but knew I was taking a risk - I knew I could keep it to sell later. It also lets me get an idea of the story without buying the whole GN I spose.

I'm waiting an hour or two to see how a 'Thermos' flask I've bought turns out...

The supposed Thermos flask is a FAIL all round... The problem is that it only cost £4 off eBay, if you see what I mean.

I only get steel thermos as they are more robust.

Nook Simple Touch: root it (runs Android 2.1), add the official Kindle App + comic readers etc (far more than the gf's Kindle, touchscreen too).

Now TV: sideload Plex through the secret dev options to gain 4od, ITV player (as it's only iPlayer & 5 on demand currently) + network video streaming (with suitable server). Only get to sideload one app as a 'dev' app though ;) (might be possible to flash it to a Roku LT later on as it's based on it, £10 for a £50 ish device ;))

Very 8-)

I use the PS3 for VOD since I'm as likely to have a quick blast at a game too, but a Now TV box will be very handy for when the current TV is eventually relegated to a bedroom. Cheers for the info!

This thing will use almost no power and be silent, better than the PS3 for me (even though it will be next to mine)

Just need a new TV with optical out as my AV receiver doesnt do sound through HDMI..... ;)

A Hohner Melodica from an Oxfam shop. I've given the inside a clean and a disinfect. It sounds pretty good,
