Problem 2: The Govt looks intent on making GPs work longer hours/more cover. Whilst this is workable for larger practices, we're a small practice. Might either have to merge or close down.

I walked out of my work this morning when I discovered they'd moved all my personal belongings to another desk... This is the latest part of the 'moving everyone around for no good reason' saga.

My immediate boss was off two Fridays ago so I went to talk to his boss whose idea this all was in the first place. She wouldn't even let me finish my sentences never mind make a suggestion, so I told her I'd talk to my immediate boss once I got back from my week off.

I arrive in today after not getting any sleep last night (guess why) to find all my stuff moved. When I mentioned that his boss had treated me like a dick, he said I had ample time to move my stuff before I left! As if I was going to do that after getting shut down

So I told him I'd send him a doctor's line once I can make an appointment. He tried to scare me by saying I'd get a warning! For what exactly? Oh, and that I wouldn't be able to transfer out with a warning, when there's no transfers going anyway - those were his own words previously!

Me and a few other people are already looking for new jobs. What started off as me trying to argue my case snowballed into them thinking they can treat me however they want. They can think again.

Sounds like a $h!te place to work. I always find that whenever there's someone new, they decide to show who's the boss by making silly changes that have no importance or benefit other than making that one person feel good and everyone else feel crap.
